Whilst our Rwanda coffees go from strength to strength we have been looking at other superb regions around the world to source coffee from. We wanted something that complimented the existing range with a completely different profile in both taste and style. We are very nearly there and after tasting, blending and fine tuning many different options we have settled on some beautiful produce from Honduras and Columbia.
The blend is Fair trade and Organic and has delicious sweet, chocolate and honey tones with a lasting finish. The Honduras co-operative resonates with us as it is investing in the education of children and bringing them into the world of coffee. They have a women’s only coffee project that will help them gain better pricing for the future and they have also invested in local doctors and created a potable water treatment centre.
The Columbian co-operative have had a very tough time over the past few years as they have been in a conflict zone with limited access to getting their product to market. This has thankfully now been declared an area of ‘post conflict’ and their beautiful beans are now reaching us in stunning condition and quality. This co-operative is also Fair Trade and Organic meaning we can bring you a double certified coffee, 100% Arabica at a very attractive price per kilo. We will look to launch this new blend in
